THE BEST OF SOUTHWEST MINNEAPOLIS — brought to you by the Lynnhurst Neighborhood Association (LYNAS)
The Lynnhurst Neighborhood Association has sent a letter discussing the proposed development at W. 50th St. and Bryant Ave. to the Minneapolis Community Planning and Economic Development office and Councilmember Palmisano. The letter will be in the record of public comments when the development is reviewed and the parking variance requested by the developer considered.
The Association’s role is to facilitate neighborhood communication with developers and relay feedback about proposals, both concerns and support, to the appropriate city officials. The letter summarizes comments from residents at a June 21 meeting with the developer, the majority of which related to the current on-street parking situation near the intersection and the impact of new businesses drawing additional parking demand. The letter also documents concerns about constructing the building, its aesthetics, and servicing it.
